Gasbags Ahoy!

launched in March with a temporary display on the original site of the airship station, and will now join the Heritage Eastbourne collection for the summer. Visitors can uncover engaging stories of bravery from the airship crew descendants, film footage and even try their hand at semaphore.

Discover the stories of Eastbourne suffragettes jailed in Holloway Prison for attempting to deliver a petition to the King, one resulting in hunger strike, to the woman who saved her husband from imprisonment during the Civil War.

Discover the stories of the men and women in Eastbourne who served in the First World War and how the ones who returned shaped the town we see today.

Opening Times & Free Entry

Open daily from 10am to 5pm each day until October and from 10am to 4pm from 1 November (closed 25-26 December and 1 January).  Entry to the exhibition is FREE. 

Make sure you stay for a bit of cake in the cafe and browse our gift range too.

The Pavilion and its gardens, are accessible from the seafront promenade or from Royal Parade, just a short stroll from the Pier (1/2 mile east of the Pier).

There is wheelchair access into the Pavilion exhibition, cafe and toilets.
