Projects

Take a Look at Our Projects

  1. Sussex Historic Graffiti Project
Using archaeological recording methods, this project will create a detailed record of historic graffiti in Sussex.
  2. Eastbourne Ancestors
Discovering our ancestors through scientific analysis, investigation, planning and 3D reconstruction of skeletons and archaeological finds, this ground-breaking project revealed the incredible stories of Eastbourne's Ancestors.
  3. Summerdown Camp
Eastbourne housed the first purpose built WW1 convalescent camp for the rehabilitation of the wounded, and treated over 150,000 soldiers. Discover the many stories behind the soldiers and the people who worked there.
  4. Extraordinary Women
Discovering the everyday stories of women in Eastbourne over the last 100 years, we prove that what can be described as the 'ordinary' can often be the most remarkable.
  5. End of War
Commemorating the centenary of the Armistice that marked the end of World War One, this project researched and recorded details of the lives of all the 1,258 men and women from Eastbourne who died during the conflict and whose names appear on the Memorial Board in the Town Hall.
  6. Archaeological Fieldwork
Pick up some new skills and join our team at the next archaeological dig, with full training and support given.
